Gaussian Horn - Series CW248: New
Side lobe levels better than - 40dB
Typically 70% shorter than alternative designs
Flann has developed a new compact Gaussian Antenna with unparalleled
performance. The design has taken the method of manufacture
into account to ensure that the antenna is bulk manufacturable.
This makes it lower in cost compared to conventional Gaussian
Antennas and comparable in price to lower performance Antennas
such as Parabolas and Lens Horns. The length of the Antenna
is 1/3rd that of a conventional Gaussian Antenna.
The horn exhibits side lobe level lower than 40dB over a
10% bandwidth maintaining cross-polar levels below 30dB. The
radiation pattern shows near perfect symmetry in the E and
H planes.
The horn is available from 5-110GHz. Nominal gain of the
Antenna is 20dB. The gain can be increased to 26dB upon request.
Likely applications are compact parabola feeds, covert surveillance,
secure comms, base station power saving, reduced interference.
