    A new range, designated Series 621, has been introduced offering the added feature of manual control on power off and a visual indication of attenuation setting via a drum scale. The 0 to 60 dB repositioning time for all models is less than 1.2 seconds. Attenuation accuracy is better than 1% over the full operating frequency range; the re-settability at 60 dB is typically better than 0.02 dB. The attenuation is continuously variable with no momentary signal loss whilst positioning and phase variation with change of attenuation is negligible

    The Series 670:

     has been extended to include models from 4 GHz to 110 GHz (WG12; WR187 to WG27; WR10) and provide continuous phase change in both positive and negative directions. The smallest phase change increment is 0.02 degrees.

    Flann Programmable Attenuators and Phase Changers are precision, well proven units based on the Flann’s range of Rotary Vane designs.  The high-accuracy, highly repeatable instruments are ideally suited for automated test & measurement systems and remote control applications.  Models are available, covering full waveguide bands, operating at frequencies from 4 GHz to 110 GHz and are designed to be driven by Flann's own range of Control Processors.     Simple commands sent to the Control Processor via the IEEE-488 bus (GPIB) enable the microwave instrument to be repositioned with a high-degree of precision and repeatability, and the current setting to be read back to the system controller. Models capable of controlling one or two microwave instruments are available with options for bench use or 19" rack mounting, with optional front panel (local) control, or as a single PCB suitable for OEM applications.

    If you have special requirements, they may be catered for by software and/or hardware changes. Customers requiring variations on standard Flann instruments or control processors, should forward detailed information, relating to their requirements, for evaluation.
