The use of the sectoral antenna horn provides a very effective
method of achieving the broadcast type coverage required of the
base station transmission system used by LMDS/MVDS systems. Flann
has developed a series of compact, high performance, low cost sectoral
horn antennas.
Series 244 / 245 - Sectoral Millimeter Wave Antennas for
Local Multipoint Distribution Service (LMDS)
Flann Microwave has extended its range of low-cost, high-performance
sectoral antennas for Point-to- Multipoint applications e.g. Local
Multipoint Distribution Service (LMDS) and Fixed Radio Access (FRA)
to include models with azimuth beamwidths of 15°, 30°, 45°, 64°
and 90°. This beamwidth is designed to provide a circular
coverage pattern when illuminated from the circle edge, taking into
account path losses and attenuation due to rain. Vertically or horizontally
polarised versions, with a gain of 15 dBi, are available at
10, 25, 28 and 40 GHz. |
