Flann’s OMT’s offer the high performance demanded by today’s communication systems, in which high polarisation purity and high isolation are paramount.

The combination of low cross polar and high isolation provide optimum link performance and ideally complements feed horns, such as Flann’s patented Gaussian horn which offer >50dB cross polarisation and – 40dB side lobes.

Low Pass Harmonic Filters Series 280: - New

Flann have re-engineered their range of low pass harmonic filters and extended the frequency of operation to 110GHz. All filters provide better than 40dB rejection up to the 3rd harmonic over the full waveguide band. VSWR is better than 1.5 over the pass band. Insertion loss is less than 1.5dB.

Low pass filters simplify measurements in microwave systems and enhance system performance by effectively reducing undesirable signals,ie harmonics,to an acceptably low level. All models provide a very wide ‘stop band ’of frequencies above the recommended waveguide band. The pass band VSWR is generally better than 1.5:1 and insertion loss less than 1.5dB.

The use of the sectoral antenna horn provides a very effective method of achieving the broadcast type coverage required of the base station transmission system used by LMDS/MVDS systems. Flann has developed a series of compact, high performance, low cost sectoral horn antennas.

Series 244 / 245 - Sectoral Millimeter Wave Antennas for Local Multipoint Distribution Service (LMDS)

Flann Microwave has extended its range of low-cost, high-performance sectoral antennas for Point-to- Multipoint applications e.g. Local Multipoint Distribution Service (LMDS) and Fixed Radio Access (FRA) to include models with azimuth beamwidths of 15°, 30°, 45°, 64° and 90°.  This beamwidth is designed to provide a circular coverage pattern when illuminated from the circle edge, taking into account path losses and attenuation due to rain. Vertically or horizontally polarised versions, with a gain of 15 dBi,  are available at 10, 25, 28 and 40 GHz.
